I had so much of belief that this was the team which challenged and consistently won the battle ever so successfully without many problems. Sometimes, we have to forcefully relate our performance in whatever we do against such teams. That is the learning in true sense. The humility and confidence driven arrogance makes this team completely unbeatable and they are in an unassailable position. I, remember how much Mohammed Ali had an influence on the boxing ring. The rule of the game was simple : pummel the opponet hard and bloody and the guy standing amidst the power punches is the victor. But Ali, had a very strange impact on the proponents. Whenever the referee used to say the rule of the game (as a mere formality) with the two boxers adjacent to one another ever so eager to have a bite at the other, but when it came to Ali, the champ would always say how he was going to destroy the opponent, how he was going to go for a knock out and how much eager he was to get going. Imagine, you keep hearing to this constant gibes that is even before the game started. Nerve wrecking is’nt it. That was why Ali was the “World’s Greatest” and rightly so R Kelly sang and dedicated the song to Ali.That to me is the greatest highpoint for a real champ. It is the champ who always makes it so sure and proves to the world why they are the greatest. The resilience, the ability, the intent to face the adversity on the face combined together with the mental strength is the recipe of success, which is applicable to all walks of life and work. This is how the current Australian team is made up of. Strong men, different personalities but one goal – Intend to succeed.

Well, now that I am home, going to work was something that surely was something that I never had in the top of the priority list but there are a few things in life which we cannot run away from. So I had to show up to work and as strange as it could be I had a very funny feeling when I stepped into the same building where I was working a few years back. New people, new policies and everything new were how I will say things were from the start. Slowly, by about 11:00 I came over and met the team which had been working remote – they were the people whom I did not even know how they looked. The mails were how I could relate to how they looked. The place looked alien to me, the work looked alien to me, the food, the climate and everything surrounding every single thing appeared so darn alien.
The initial few days were the most trying ones for me and not once I had a thought on whether I made a correct decision at all to move back. Such was the state of mind. It was nerve wracking and almost very very emotional for the fact that I used to get mails from the folks in US every other day, to top it I was just not able to relate myself and people were generally more hostile to start with. With the passage of time, things are starting to smoothen a bit and I am getting the grip of things to an extend such that I am also fiercely competing with other for seats in the bus(I still remember how I stood away thinking it was a line and how much I was fooled to see a women storm push me only to comfortably sit and travel), am slowly getting to the desi walks of life in style.
There are a few things in mind currently and until that works in my favor sooner than later I will not begin to lament if my decision to move back to India was a smart one or not. I am an eternal optimist and I will work my way. Until then in that note, varta :-)

So all I did was to chronologically add in the entries and back date the time. Am I smart and revolutionary in thinking and yes who said we cannot change time. Ouch ! Bad joke. On that note I hope to be on the base and will do the duties regularly.

"With greater power comes greater responsibility" - you know who said that. I can only draw an analogy on how beneficial it gets to an individual with respect to the thought process and the existence. We surely get used to how to handle things in a known environ more than an unknown. After all this nostalgic feeling came the fear, the anxiety, the undue pressure when the time was almost set for the move. I wish I do well and I don't end up regretting the move I wanted to make for several reasons best known to me and I shall take that with me to my grave!
As of now it is time to really think about the "comfort zone" loss.

But the history behind the movie is a real life battle that happened between the Greeks and the Persians. The battle was the called the "battle of THermopylae". One of the biggest and most fiercely fought battle where the 300 spartans who were defending their territory all die fighing the persians.
For me the best thing was the way they slow motion camera works went in so well with the movie plot.
This movie is best enjoyed in IMAX or theaters. Worth every penny. I think.

Mountain Biking, a bliss
I have taken to biking more seriously these days and especially during the winter nothing beats that. It is the inital mental break through point about the cold, the distance, the uphill but with time you just dont think about that any more. It has been incredible for the fact that I am clocking 25 miles almost every other day but with the weekday I guess I would not be able to be consistent with that. And this jaunty has been helping me indirectly (call it the Butterfly effect, " "If a butterfly flaps its wings on one side of the world, the ripple effect could cause a tempest on the other"), I burn up 350 calories on each trip,which is quite remarkable.
One of the days when it snow stormed real bad. It was quite eventful that it happened.. But contrary to the common belief about biking having to make a man sexually impotent, is a fab. But I think everything within the sanity side of the line is all good.

Cycling in gym also is no bad thing at all. Atleast we end up doing something better to ourself. They say the "apple" shaped stomach for men and "pear" shaped bottom for women, is not good at all in the long run. And this is no forum for the health benefits, it is just a thought. The fun starts when we start doing it.
I would rate the move a positive 8.5 er (not an average movie). See it then you will appreciate the fact why this was oscar nominated in 6 different categories.

I don't know how many times we see this happen around us. The tagline being something related to Moses and Ramses. Moses was left to himself when he was a baby in a river by the parents (family) who were slaves to the then ruler of Egypt. The baby is set adrift in the water and dangerous one that too and finally reaches the noble family of the King and they see the baby and without any big deal adopt him and eventually give birth to Ramses, thereby making two kids in the royal family.
The brothers grow up for a while and into teens and post those nice moments, I am talking about a period *say* 20 or 21 years of upbringing in the royal family, Ramses takes over the kingdom and appoints his dear, intelligent brother as the chief officer (I forget the position name). That is when Moses meets his "sister" who are the bonded labourers that belong to Hebrew community. She says something about being abandoned and that he was the foster son to the king. If this was not enough the "sister" sings a song ! Dang , the brother is so mesmerized and enquires the King about this and knows the truth which is a slap on the face kind of thing.
Moses leaves the kingdom and goes to a far away land in the desert and marries a girl from well to do family. Now the plot. Moses changes his mind and wants to act against Ramses by asking for the freedom of "his" community because the god of the Hebrew's came in his dreams ! Ramses refuses and the fight and the famine and finally Ramses loses his son in that famine where the "god" protects Moses and his crew because they have the Lamb's blood mark on their house. Eventually, Moses makes a pathway in midst of the river and takes his men to safer land and promptly Ramses attacks, more to do because he lost his progeny because of this idiot. And Moses tricks him and the river closes the pathway and bingo ! Ramses is dead caught there.
Question: What was worth to note from a back stabbing, sick history such as this? The kid is in the river all by itself and the royal family takes him to their own and for 22 freaking years Moses does not know if he was the royal blood or not. Suddenly, from no where , when he knows it he admonishes the Kingdom. How worse can it get? I mean, what was for the King and Queen who showed atmost love to the Idiot, Moses, who saved the best form of gratitude by leaving and back stabbing. And that is the Histry we present to the future generation.
I mean, even if, say god came and did manage to say something about freedom et all .Moses, where is the thinking? What is it that we are trying to tell our future, well here is the deal, what ever happens forget your present family and try to bind and save the unknown because they are the actual parents? People make a big deal about that saying Moses made that sacrifice and blah blah. I think he was a bad example of how a kid turned into a man should not be.
I got a better story in conjuction to this. How about Mahabarat, an Epic story from Indian civilization. We had the same remake situation and I forget that person's name.. Say "X" he did not leave his "Foster" family when he knew about that. X said, "well the foster family was so good in treating him as theirs so I cannot leave them in the need of crisis. Even if it is wrong I will fight for the Kauravas."
This is a good moral compared to what happened in Egypt. Sometimes people becomes so self pocessed that we don't and fail to see the bigger picture. In real life, there are more such incidents which we can relate to. I think, we should grow up to a person who can take decisions not just self-aggrandizing ourself.
Having said all that what would have happened if Moses stuck with Ramses and had the empire expanded. Positive side, we would have had many more pyramids and nice wonders (intact) of the world. Negative side, there would have been slaves. But who was not a slave in that era.
Anyway, we are but full of reasons for what we do. I think if Moses came to life now, he would have his "nicer and socially acceptable" reason which will go well with everyone... For the moment, I am not pleased anyway by that Egyptian history. And let's not become one like that ever after from now.
Disclaimer: The above observation is not specific to any religion or caste or anything. It was an example that could just fit so well and more importantly, this was my thinking and has nothing related to anyone else.

The worse is always in store until the end. Now, how can this ever happen, I mean, on valentine's day and it was a snow storm - worst snow storm that got the entire Northeast america to the knees. I have never seen something this worse. But the point being why on that day. New York had so many poor story lines. Folks wanted to surprise their parters by making floral orders which were supposed to be hand given at the appropriate time and guess what we got an uninvited snow storm messing up the party.
I, for one, felt quite helpless - both for the situation I found myself in and thiers. Story my end was equally apalling. The snow cleaned us up big time and crippled us. Total connection to outer world lost, interstates shut down and here I was looking at my room heater which is right at the woods. The longer it was covering up with snow, my heart was skipping a beat. Coz that is the only source of heat to the house and should the heater konk out, guess what..
But I am not against the snow but the time and date the artic cold had to pass over. I hated that. Feb 14th - Valentine's Day. The artic freeze in NorthEast which resulted in the snow storm was called the Valentine as well. And Saint Valentine would have been mighty disappointed with what he would have seen.
I am grumpy now... anyway that is how I am always :-)

Why is this term a taboo in the societies and the human echleon thus far. We say a particular region or a country as developed based on several factors yet even in the so called top draw countries the feeling is so suppressed. And I wonder why everyone wants to be a stranger to the feeling. After all for every relationship - man vs woman, to survive there are several factors and if those factors can well be accomodated within people of same sex and if the lifestyle suits and compliments the survival as one unit, why is it that people are so offended?
I, for real, was sorta glad that Elton john went with his feelings and mind you, he was one of the most celebrated person for time immemorial.Although, few countries a.k.a conservative rulers in power, feel grieved and aggravated and that they annuled the 'marriage' between them. But, seriously, you think they cared much?

Quite strange that feeling is'nt it. It could be right from one of those 'biological reflex' looks ,which we save for an opposite sex or same sex(which I am not going to go in detail coz I don't know what that feeling is), to liking a person deeply. Our body suddenly starts to think and do things so different. Adernaline pumps in and makes your mind think 1001 different things. To make matters worse, if you end up talking to that person, you suddenly feel lighter and feel like flying high above the air. No one is a stranger to that feeling till date.
I have wondered what makes and gives life that rounded and defined feeling when you meet such people. That momentary feeling of accomplishing something high.That feeling of being complete.... that feeling.

It is always a magical feeling to see the endless, boundryless sea marry the sky in a full moon lit night with a very few rather sparce black clouds covering the moon on and off. Awesome is a small word for that. It was an awesome feeling and the drive through the beach. What troubled me most is the ignorant road usage by the pedestrians. They seem to be the biggest pest and problem mongers and contribute heavily in road accidents. If they form one ring of being the pain the other one definitely is the mobike users. These are the major players of road rule breakers. Now, that does not mean the others are the innocent ones. I was appalled by the way the people in posh cars also wanted to nose forward without proper thinking and imagination as to what would happen if they jump to the other lane withouth any thinking. Unbelievably scary but I guess that is how things have been here in this part of the world. People have lived through these problems. Found ways to live around it. I think that is one biggest highlight of India. But without straying from the central point, the beaches are awesome :-)
It was a Friday night, the weekend feeling and liberation that the week has gone by without too much of a blood bath. So we decided to check out few pubs and it was sorta disturbing to know that there is a consistant disparity in the stags, who are supposedly the bachelors, against people who come with a gurl. No offense to any parties this is just my thought coz I had been there with my friend. The city's quite famous parlors somehow have rules which says no to stags but yes to couples alone!! I would like to know why this decision? Who are we trying to 'save' from 'whom' and for why? If the pub is so possessive about the 'so-called' image villification as a result of an untoward incident, why not hire a few bouncers? Why not make the situation better by having few security people instead of the so called waiters, who do no good job either? I was flabergasted when they said no to stags only go back to the basics of questioning the system. Now, Zara which may not be the best indoors and sane DJ, but they did not question the existence of a 'gurl' when men came to the pub. I liked that much better but that does not do wonders to this parlor. Reason, the DJ, he was so unimaginative and totally against using the top floor in his body. He played Arabian folk song on a Friday night in a Pub ! Somebody throw me a bone. I just cannot think over the line just to know what he was thinking. I think there has to be a break point somewhere and there should be good bunch of DJ's spinning awesome tracks. It would happen sometime later as civilization moves forward here. Another conspicous thing was that the pub again had a 'family zone' in the seating arrangement. Why is it that they would ever want a 'family zone' split in a Pub? Well smoking and no smoking zone was acceptable. But this goes beyond my imagination so as to speak. Sometimes somethings are defined differently I think. Atleast I am glad they did not make a bifurcation in the seating as "Men" and "Women" only!

Ever wondered what this would mean to us. We know that there are so many people in this world that go to bed with an empty stomach. And we don't realize this until we experience this first hand. As LP sang in one of his songs "It does'nt matter.." Today for the first time I woke up hungry and that sure was not a great feeling what so ever. I wonder what would be going through the minds of those who perenially wake up hungry and sleep hungry. My heart goes out to them. But it is not what I, alone, as a person who can work on fixing this problem. Sometimes these are some of the gimmicks that would earn the people some cool money. Hitherto, this country is so humongous that it just cannot stop to think for one particular group and work them a solution for alternate survival mode. Sometimes these are brought upon by themself. The most vulnerable ones in this game are the children. Sometimes, knowingly or unknowingly they accept to play the part for getting easy money. I don't know whom to blame and what to blame for this. Just that it was not a good feeling to be hungry.
The site Hunger Site is about the hunger. If anything that,someone who reads this blog can do would be to contribute to abolish this.
The site Care org also talks about what poverty/being hungry means to them.
