Beach ...

It is always a magical feeling to see the endless, boundryless sea marry the sky in a full moon lit night with a very few rather sparce black clouds covering the moon on and off. Awesome is a small word for that. It was an awesome feeling and the drive through the beach. What troubled me most is the ignorant road usage by the pedestrians. They seem to be the biggest pest and problem mongers and contribute heavily in road accidents. If they form one ring of being the pain the other one definitely is the mobike users. These are the major players of road rule breakers. Now, that does not mean the others are the innocent ones. I was appalled by the way the people in posh cars also wanted to nose forward without proper thinking and imagination as to what would happen if they jump to the other lane withouth any thinking. Unbelievably scary but I guess that is how things have been here in this part of the world. People have lived through these problems. Found ways to live around it. I think that is one biggest highlight of India. But without straying from the central point, the beaches are awesome :-)
Pub culture in Madras...

It was a Friday night, the weekend feeling and liberation that the week has gone by without too much of a blood bath. So we decided to check out few pubs and it was sorta disturbing to know that there is a consistant disparity in the stags, who are supposedly the bachelors, against people who come with a gurl. No offense to any parties this is just my thought coz I had been there with my friend. The city's quite famous parlors somehow have rules which says no to stags but yes to couples alone!! I would like to know why this decision? Who are we trying to 'save' from 'whom' and for why? If the pub is so possessive about the 'so-called' image villification as a result of an untoward incident, why not hire a few bouncers? Why not make the situation better by having few security people instead of the so called waiters, who do no good job either? I was flabergasted when they said no to stags only go back to the basics of questioning the system. Now, Zara which may not be the best indoors and sane DJ, but they did not question the existence of a 'gurl' when men came to the pub. I liked that much better but that does not do wonders to this parlor. Reason, the DJ, he was so unimaginative and totally against using the top floor in his body. He played Arabian folk song on a Friday night in a Pub ! Somebody throw me a bone. I just cannot think over the line just to know what he was thinking. I think there has to be a break point somewhere and there should be good bunch of DJ's spinning awesome tracks. It would happen sometime later as civilization moves forward here. Another conspicous thing was that the pub again had a 'family zone' in the seating arrangement. Why is it that they would ever want a 'family zone' split in a Pub? Well smoking and no smoking zone was acceptable. But this goes beyond my imagination so as to speak. Sometimes somethings are defined differently I think. Atleast I am glad they did not make a bifurcation in the seating as "Men" and "Women" only!
